Royal Brackla

Our first release. One of our first cask purchases was from Royal Brackla distillery on the Cawdor estate in the highlands. The distillery has been producing whisky for over 200 years, and was due to revamp its core range earlier in 2020. This was put on hold due to the pandemic, where they instead turned to making hand sanitiser.

In November 2020 Alpha released, from lock-down, a single cask of 12 year old Royal Brackla. This unique whisky has fully matured since April 2008 in a first-fill Spanish Oloroso sherry hogshead, and bottled at cask-strength 55%
